Scholarship Information

The Blair County Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring the lives of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, welcomes your interest in our annual scholarship opportunity.  To be eligible for this scholarship you must be a graduating senior from a high school located in Blair County and  be pursuing a career in law enforcement.  We ask that in addition to submitting the scholarship application that you provide a letter of recommendation from a non-relative professional who can attest to your character as well as your desire to work in law enforcement.  In addition, please provide proof of acceptance into an institution of higher learning and an essay addressing your future career goals and the reasons behind those goals.  Please include how this scholarship and/or organization can assist you in meeting those goals.

The Blair County Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Foundation is offering two scholarship opportunities to Blair County Residents.  The first opportunity is for any Blair County Graduation High School Senior who will be pursuing secondary education with a goal of working in law enforcement.  Students can complete the 2017 High School scholarship application and return it to the foundation by May 1, 2017.

The second opportunity is for Blair County Residents that have graduated from a Pennsylvania Police Academy and successfully completed the MPOETC Certification Test between May 1, 2016 and April 30th 2017.  For more information on this scholarship opportunity, please view the Academy Scholarship Cover Letter here, and complete all necessary information found on the Academy Scholarship Application here
